The United States has one of the largest reserves of natural gas in the world – greater than 125 year supply. Natural gas usage as a transportation fuel enhances our national security and is proven technologically and commercially.

The horse power and torque of natural gas trucks equally match their diesel counterparts.

Natural Gas Is Greener.

Natural gas is substantially cleaner than petroleum – reducing emissions of Carbon Monoxide by approximately 70%, and Carbon Dioxide (the principle “Greenhouse Gas”) by 30%. In addition, natural gas reduces Nitrous Oxides (“NOx”) by 80%, Sulfur Dioxide by 100% and Volatile Organic Compounds (“VOCS”) by 89%. With the US Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) passing groundbreaking emissions regulations on engine manufactures in 2010, and because of natural gas’ inherent advantage as a substantially cleaner fuel than diesel, it is expected that natural gas engines will be more cost effective to own and operate than their diesel counterparts.

Natural Gas Is Distributed To Vehicles As Either Cng Or Lng.

CNG is stored on board as a gaseous fuel. CNG is the preferred fuel for light to medium-duty natural gas vehicles – providing range of approximately 350 miles per fill. LNG vehicles store natural gas on board as a liquid. LNG is nearly twice as dense as CNG, permitting more fuel to be stored on board while taking up less space than CNG. This permits an LNG vehicle to travel great distances – 750 miles per fill.
